Machine condition monitoring is essential to managing plant maintenance because it enables corrective maintenance of equipment to be performed on-condition, thus minimizing un scheduled downtime, collateral equipment damage during a failure event & reducing health, safety & environmental risks. It also enables us to avoid the execution of irrational "hard time" replacement or rebuild of the assets on time, which has proven over the years to have a neutral - or in some cases even a negative effect on reliability due to early life failures association with flawed new parts & workmanship. Condition monitoring is also essential for improving the reliability of our assets by supporting proactive control of the primary root causes of machine failure misalignment, unbalance, looseness & poor lubrication.

He is a recognized expert and industry leader in maintenance and reliability and is a highly sought after consultant to Fortune 500 manufacturing firms.

He has developed dozens of processes and software applications to help companies define their strategic goals for managing plant reliability, economically justifying the plan's elements, and successfully implementing the strategy employing a systematic and properly sequenced method - helping his clients avoid costly mistakes.

Drew is a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), holds an MBA and has completed post-master's graduate study in reliability engineering technology management and measurement theory.
