Juan has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a master's degree in Entrepreneurship from the Asian Institute of Management.

He is certified by ICML (International Council for Machinery Lubrication) as a Machine Lubrication Technician Level I and as Machinery Lubricant Analyst Level II; Juan is also a Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional by SMRP (Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professional); is an individual member of international organizations like ICML (International Council for Machinery Lubrication), STLE (Society for Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers) and has been an associate member of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineering) for almost 10 years. For more than 5 years, Juan has been working as a preventive maintenance consultant, providing training aimed at customer's needs.

His field of expertise includes lubrication, contamination control, laser alignment, and conveyor maintenance.

Drew has authored more than 125 technical papers, articles, books and book chapters on the topic of industrial reliability management. A lively public speaker, Drew is a popular keynote speaker at industry conferences and symposiums.

As a consultant, Drew specializes in quantifying the financial benefits of plant reliability management and in conveying those opportunities to senior-level managers in the language and style to which they're accustomed. He has developed dozens of proprietary processes and software applications to help his clients define their strategic goals for managing plant reliability, economically justifying the plan's elements and successfully implementing the strategy employing a systematic and properly sequenced method - helping his clients avoid costly mistakes.

Drew is a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), holds an MBA and has completed post-master's graduate study in reliability engineering technology management, measurement theory. He is active in numerous technical and industry societies, particularly the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP), where he has held several leadership positions.

He has worked in over 60 organizations in 13 countries in industries such as food, pulp and paper, mining, steel, oil and gas, chemical, and discrete manufacturing. Before working with IDCON, INC, he has experience from supply chain consulting with MA-systems and has served the Army. He possesses a Bachelors of Science in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University and a master of Science in mechanical engineering from Lund University, Sweden.
